6. Skim and Browse. National Association for a Media Literate America (NAMLA) and National Association for Media Literacy Education (NAMLE)

7. Read: Media Education, Arts, and Literacy Project, was a three-year program conducted in partnership with the National Association for Media Literacy Education and funded by the U.S. Department of Education.It is a requirement to read just the 5 page executive summary of the Evaluation. It is optional to explore other branches as time allows. More.

Economic Issues

8. Skim and Browse.  The Media Arts Project of WNC . Asheville's Chamber of Commerce is aggressively working to attract multimedia companies to Asheville and this region. The MAP Mission and Goals is part of a regional multi-year strategic plan currently being implemented.

9. Assignment. Send me an email with three ideas for course project themes. One or more themes will be used as the topic around which to build multimedia materials.

10. As Web conferencing plays a critical role in classroom management and the teaching of this course, it is a best of class example of many Web media designs for teaching and learning. Wimba is currently used by WCU. Blackboard bought both Wimba and Elluminate, with plans for merging the features of both systems for use in the fall of 2011. The CEO of Elluminate will lead this merge project. The Elluminate Training pages review their many features for Participants or Moderators. Further, get your own Elluminate vRoom account for your own and further course use.

Any web page in a frameset can contain text and other media with links that place other text and media in any frame or out and above the frameset. The information can be your own web pages, or web pages from other web sites. Electronic engineers and designers have been merging PDA's or handheld computers with cell phone concepts into products called Smartphones. The picture links to a presentation about some of the most recent innovation in this area, some of the many new features of the iPhone from Apple Computer. This goes on for an hour. Watch the first ten minutes of this market introduction to this new product to get the main idea. Skim the iPhone and iPod Touch web pages to see how media rich the mobile device market has become.

12. Interaction with the reader (reader input) is also an important element of digital literacy. View these blog sites of mine. eCROP ; Unimedia Composers. Find a post of interest and add a comment after you've created your own blog site at blogger.com
