Question Ambassadors - K-12

A General Topics Form

Dear Community Member,

At _____________ School, _______________________ (student name) studies a wide variety of topics . As a part of this study, students benefit from solving a wide range of problems or questions related to these topics. Our school is interested in real or authentic questions that you may have that match areas of study and your school is interested in providing community service. If you have a question of interest to you, we would like to share it with students at your child's school. A team of students and teacher from the school will study the questions you and others provide and select questions which they think they can solve. If your question is not selected for further work, it will be returned to you within a week with some ideas on where you could go to find an answer.

Please remember that this is a very public and open process. Please do not request that questions and answers be kept private. In order to develop the best answer, your question and contact information will be shared with many people, including librarians and reference people, other community students and adults, and citizens throughout the world through use of school's Internet resources. Students will provide the best answer they can, but please remember that their time to study a topic is limited. By the end of their period of study, you will have a response to your question. But you are responsible for a final check of the data to determine its accuracy or suitability for your own purposes. That is, the school and those participating may not be held liable for any further use of the answer and related information that is provided to you.

Questions are chosen by the Selection Teams based on the ambassador's and the class's ability and knowledge to develop a response to the question and hopefully a complete and satisfactory answer. No question can be further processed unless the complete contact information is provided below.

Sincerely,
