STUDENT RESPONSE NUMBER THREE

I think because they were so far away from England was the hardest to deal with. They were lonely for home and scared of the Indians and the priests. They couldn't just go home once the ship left they had to wait for another one to come and bring food or whatever they needed. This was the hardest part when they saw the ship leave them alone.

STUDENT RESPONSE NUMBER FOUR

The early settlers had a lot of difficult things to deal with but prbably the hardest was being so far from their homeland. They probably had to say goodbye forever to their friends and families. Once they got their everything was new. The climate was different, the food was different the people were different. They had to build a different kind of house there because the suplies were different. They had to learn new ways of growing and hunting food. Since they had to send everything by ships it took many months to hear from people back home. They were probably very lonely. This had to be hard.
