Newsletter Publishing

Many applications, such as Claris's ClarisWorks and Microsoft's Word now provide templates for newsletters and walk the user through decisions in the layout process, leaving you only the work of filling in the spaces you create.

    ClarisWorks
  1. To use the ClarisWorks 4.0 or higher newsletter features, start the application or use the New command under File. Put an X in the checkbox next to the phrase Use Assistants or Stationery. Among the choices which then appear, select Newsletter and follow the directions.

  2. Clarisworks Sample Newsletter, 83K. This newsletter is full of advice on how to create a newsletter. To use this link, you must have the ClarisWorks 4.0 or higher application on your workstation and have configured your browser (e.g., Netscape) to recognize ClarisWorks Draw files with an extension of .cwdr.

  1. To use the Word 6.0 or higher newsletter features, start the application. Use the New command under File. Select Newsletter Wizard from the list of templates and wizards and follow the directions.

  2. Word Sample Newsletter, 50K. This is an incomplete template. Add your own text and images. To use this link, you must have the Word 6.0 or higher application on your workstation and have configured your browser (e.g., Netscape) to recognize it with an extension of .word.
