The advertising wars that began to heat up in December of 2010 brought some useful introductory humor to role of tablets over history when Motorola created a YouTube video to position its upcoming announcement of its own tablet in the increasingly competitive market place for such devices. The reality of the evolution of handheld tools is much different. It would have been better to have the video open with cave dwellers opening a skin bag with its stone toolkit, but humor is not necessarily historically accurate.
